Yes you should. And you shall see my face again.

You show your face after all this time, Borgia? I shall take company with the courtesans tonight.

I am at a loss on why you choose to announce that you shall be spending your night in a brothel.

Either you boast this sinful freedom or you are saying that spending time with your whores is a far more engaging activity than playing a game of wits with me.

They are far from whores, Cesare. They are as much of a woman as anyone else, and I am implying that spending time with women would be far more entertaining than spending another wasted moment with you.

-scoffs- You talk as if I know nothing of the pleasures of the flesh— do not be so arrogant. Let us not lie here. You and I both know that these women are dispensable once you have finished with them. Such flightless birds are better slaughtered plucked and roasted.

He unfurls in hand in a flamboyant gesture, “If you believe yourself as such then why refrain from boasting? Do not be so modest. I could see that you are a man to be feared… though I’m not saying that I am threatened.” he pauses, smirking “You have a certain air in you that tells me we are quite similar— Tell me, who is it then that you treat as your equals?”

The more this man spoke, the more he was being reminded slightly of Genesis — it certainly wasn’t appearance, but it was something in the attitude of the man whom he was speaking with. His shoulder shifted slightly before there was a response. “Because there is no point,” came the slow response, “in boasting of something most of the people I know am aware of. And only someone whom is incompetent boasts of their skills — the man that is unsure of his own ability to hold his own.” Then came the words that made green turn to glacial teal as he inhaled sharply as his nostrils flared before he spoke anew, voice shifting to something coolly polite — and something menacingly unfriendly beneath the flat and nearly inhuman tones. “.. We are not that similar from what I have seen. And they were my..” A pause, considering. “.. brothers-in-arms.”

There was an instance of a scowl at the accusation of being incompetent. His thin lips upturned in a disapproval. Even if the statement was not addressed to him it had stung— How dare this man. But no matter… Cesare opts to keep civil with him until he knows more about the man.

“There are instances when one is confident about one’s skills that he must announce it to all whom are ignorant of it.” he says in his defense. “At least there IS solid evidence to boast about.”

The air slightly shifts, and he could sense it, though Cesare does not know what it means… was it radiating off the man standing before him? “Your comrades then… I see. That is a stark difference to whom I consider my equal for he is my nemesis— No where have I met a man equal to myself. A soul willing to kill in the name of destiny…”

…I must say signore, that sword you bare is quite impressive in length.

”.. Hn. I am the only one whom can carry it.” A glance to survey the dark-haired man, hues slitted.

Satisfied at the rather vague but curt answer, it instills a curiosity in him to know more about that mysterious black clad man. “I would assume then that you would be an impressive swords man?”

“Of course.” He paused before speaking once more. “.. I do not boast, but I am the best swordsman of my time.” That is truth — Strife has only ever gotten lucky against him. “There were only two men whom were ever near my equals.”

He unfurls in hand in a flamboyant gesture, “If you believe yourself as such then why refrain from boasting? Do not be so modest.
